About Us ...

When we first opened our doors in 1975, we began with the belief that young children learn best through play.  Today we still follow that philosophy while providing programs that nurture a love of learning through friends, indoor and outdoor activities, reading, music, games and crafts.  Our staff focuses on instilling our students with school readiness skills, life lessons and the fostering of friendships that grow with every school year. Our program also enhances fun learning through resource classes in science, music, computer and Christian value lessons.

Chester Presbyterian Preschool... a place for learning, friends and fun.

    Mission Statement

The Chester Presbyterian Preschool is an important ministry of Chester Presbyterian Church.  It serves the broad Chester community by providing educational opportunities for children 2 1/2 to 5 years old.  As such, the Preschool adheres to the policies and procedures of Chester Presbyterian Church, which provides the facility and some administrative support services.

The mission of the Preschool is to provide programs that facilitate academic, emotional, social and physical growth that are appropriate for each child.  The children are exposed to the spiritual nature of our church by activities conducted within the church facility but do typically receive specific religious instruction.

The preschool is  a religiously exempt child day program that is monitored by the Virginia Department of Social Services, Virginia Department of Health and the Chesterfield County Fire Department. The Session of Chester Presbyterian Church and the Preschool Advisory Board provide program oversight.
