 February 2012 Class News

We hope you have enjoyed the starting of the New Year as much as we have.  Hearing our friends little voices counting down to the New Year with so much excitement is a great way

to start our day!

We had a blast this past month seeing and feeling the

"insta-snow" and picking up snowballs.  We talked about snow and sang about snow but still no SNOW!  We laughed while waddling around like penguins and eating (gold) fish for snack just like penguins and polar bears do.  We learned that snowflakes are all unique just like us! 

Our friends are doing a fantastic job putting on their own coats and learning to zip up their own backpacks. Please allow them to do these things at home, to help you out! 

This month will be SWEET!  We have many things planned so please look at the calendar for special days.

We start the month talking about shadows and our new color pink, and our new shape heart.  Valentine's Day is just around the corner so we will be expressing how much we love our friends and families!  We will talk about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington in honor of President's Day.  We plan to have a special appearance from someone who looks like Mr. Lincoln (Mrs. Lee's stepfather).  We will end the month learning about dental health and have a special visit with Dr. Maurer.

Please note:  We will be exchanging Valentine cards with each of our friends.  You do not need to place names on whom they are to; just whom they are from!  Please send them in on party day as your child will hand deliver each one during a special circle time!  If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Lee.
