Classroom Newsletter ~ February 2012

            January was full of fun at CPP!  The children worked very hard on their cutting skills while creating our square snowflakes and our penguins.  Please continue to help your child with cutting at home in a supervised environment.  They are also doing an excellent job finding their names at snack and circle times.   We had fun in January with our hibernating bears, dinosaurs, and learning nursery rhymes.

            During cold and flu season, remember to please keep your child at home when they are under the weather.  Also, please work with your child on wiping/blowing their noses and proper hand washing.  This will help reduce the germs spread in our classroom.  We are also taking extra steps in our room to keep the area sanitized.

            Thank you for all of the wonderful snacks we received to replenish our snack cupboard and also for the fruit sent in on our fruit days.  The children loved trying new fruits.

            We will exchange Valentines on February 13 and February 14.  Please do not address the cards or envelopes, but do have your child "sign" the Valentine.  This way, the children can deliver their own cards without having to read the names.  We have 10 children in the MWF class and 8 in the T/Th class.  In addition to exchanging Valentines in February, we will talk about healthy habits and pets.  Our color for February is pink, our number six, and our shape is a heart.
