February will be a busy month with chats about Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day, Dental Health, George Washington and Abe Lincoln. We will also manage to talk about several alphabet letters and learn our home addresses.

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, we will trace and cut hearts, decorate our Valentine bags and secretly mail our special “thumb-body” postcards to our favorite people. We will set up a post office center this month where our friends can enjoy being postal workers as well as the customers. This experience will encourage them to recognize their friends’ names.

Our friends should write their own names on each Valentine (please let them do all the writing as well as the first names of their classmates on the outside of each envelope). The Pre-K children’s names are as follows:
